[Verse 1] Don’t become a grasshopper In your own sight; Don’t let the size of giants Make you tremble in the night. The ones who went before us Let their fear deny the land, But those giants are provision When the LORD holds out His hand. [Pre-Chorus] Arise, for He has given The battle to our hands! The sword of the LORD and Gideon— We’ll stand at His command! [Chorus] We’re dancing on the grasshoppers, Giving God our praise! The Sun of Righteousness is rising; Watch them flee before His rays. With healing in His covenant wings, He lifts our hearts to sing. Arise and get your boogie on— We’re dancing for the King! [Verse 2] Down in the valley, See the grasshoppers swarm; Yet all their strength is scattered Before the LORD of storms. Like Gideon, lift the trumpet; Let the shout of faith ring out! Watch their swords turn on each other As His presence drives them out. [Chorus] We’re dancing on the grasshoppers, Giving God our praise! The Sun of Righteousness is rising; Watch them flee before His rays. With healing in His covenant wings, He lifts our hearts to sing. Arise and get your boogie on— We’re dancing for the King! [Verse 3] He sits above earth’s circle; Its people seem so small. The giants lose their power When we see Him over all. Seated with Christ in heaven, We see through different eyes; Our feet still dance upon the earth, Our faith in Him will rise. [Bridge] Let the earthen vessels break; Let the hidden light shine through! Your commandment is a lamp; Your law lights all we do. Write Your Word upon our hearts; Let holy lips proclaim Your living Word, Your rhema breath— The power of Your name. Let Your Word go forth, a rod Against the enemy; Let every shout declare Your reign, Let every captive see! [Verse 4] With heaven’s song upon our lips And worship in our feet, We tread on snakes and scorpions; The darkness must retreat. Your kingdom come upon the earth; Your will be done here, too. Let Satan fall beneath our feet As we rejoice in You! [Final Chorus] We’re dancing on the grasshoppers, Giving God our praise! The Sun of Righteousness is rising; Watch them flee before His rays. With healing in His covenant wings, He lifts our hearts to sing. Arise and get your boogie on— We’re dancing for the King! [Outro] Like David, dance with all your heart; Let joyful worship spring! Before the LORD of lords we dance, Before the King of kings! We’re dancing on the grasshoppers— All glory to our King!
