TITLE: HOLD ON [Intro - Spoken / Gangsta BGVs] BGVs: HOLD ON... HOLD ON... Yeah... for everybody in the dark right now If you holding on by a thread... don't let go [Verse 1] Woke up with fear in my chest, doubt on my back Stress in my pockets, tryna find a way out the trap Abuse in the past tryna rewrite my present Anger in my fists, but I’m tryna be a weapon of progress Seen homies drown in bottles, pills, and smoke Chasing peace in a poison, man that shit a joke 3AM thoughts, suicidal conversations But I looked in the mirror and chose life, no hesitation They said we wouldn’t make it, statistics on our name But we don’t lose, we adapt, we adjust, we change Thread thin, but I’m gripping, knuckles white Cuz if I fall now, then the darkness wins tonight [Hook] BGVs: HOLD ON! HOLD ON! Hold on tightly, never let go Even if you holding on by a thread, keep pushing though We don’t break, we bend but we grow Conquer fear, doubt, stress - let the world know BGVs: HOLD ON! Hold on to dear life, that’s the code From the pain to the power, watch us overflow We stay in the fight, we make it right Victorious, we rising - HOLD ON! [Verse 2] Drug abuse tried to make a slave out my brother I told him "brotha, you bigger than the struggle" Fear tried to lock me, but I picked the lock Doubt tried to talk me, but I told it "stop" Abuse don’t define me marv marvel music
