Often times, whether friends, family, or even strangers, people tend to tell us we'll be fine; that things will get better. I think we try to believe that, even when we might not. Sometimes we're stuck in our own heads about it, and sometimes it's simply not as simple as it seems. Those words, usually uttered over and over, become a chip on our shoulders, and it's a strange balance of wanting them to be true, but also fighting against the positivity of them, because the negativity is stronger, and the lack of confidence longer. Sometimes we just need to vent. This is the feeling behind my arrangement--the struggle, the urgency, the defiance, the recognition, and, ultimately, the acceptance, which ironically it the defeat of all that pent-up emotion being released.
