words fall out of me sideways like they don’t trust gravity I lost a thought somewhere between yesterday and now still feels warm when I reach for it the ceiling watches me think but never answers back there’s a song stuck in the walls humming in a language I almost understand I keep rearranging silence hoping it spells something different my reflection blinked first and I’m still not over it time drips slower when I notice it so I try not to look someone left a feeling on the floor I stepped in it by accident the air tastes like unfinished ideas and something I forgot to say I write my name in passing moments just to see if they remember me
