My heart is free, wandering far, endlessly. Like I’m floating on an open sea, or lying in a wide green field with the wind humming through— becoming one with the universe. You once said “You and I are different.” Was it our gender? Was it our skin? Or the faith we carry? I’m sure the gods look at us both and softly smile, “Such tiny things.” So let’s keep learning how beautiful it is to love— to love people, to love nature, to love the stars, and to love what is different from ourselves— not to merge into one, not to cast anything away. Because that love, above all, should return to your own heart. And so, in that spirit, I simply love you.
