Boredom Is My Religion
Alarm clock screams, I hit the wall, same four streets, same pub crawl. TV preacher selling dreams, I change the channel, same old schemes. My life’s a rerun, black and white, I pray for chaos every night. No gods, no plans, no superstition, just boredom - my true religion! Boredom is my religion! Nihilism is my prayer! Boredom is my religion! Nothing matters, I don’t care! Sunday mass of cigarette smoke, I kneel before the TV joke. Faith in nothing, hope in beer, it’s all downhill from here. The holy text: a rent receipt, confession’s shouting in the street. I’ll never change my one condition boredom is my true religion! Boredom is my religion! Nihilism is my prayer! Boredom is my religion! Nothing matters, I don’t care! No heaven, no sin, no hell to fear, just empty nights and cheap warm beer! If life’s a joke, I’ll play the clown the punchline’s just another round! Boredom is my religion! Nihilism is my prayer! Boredom is my religion! Nothing matters, I don’t care!
