Inspired by the spirit of Anna Kendrick’s “Cups,” “Starchild” transforms the classic sing-along farewell into a cosmic journey. Blending the warmth of acoustic folk with the shimmering glow of synths and celestial harmonies, this song invites you to wander through galaxies while holding close the ones you love. With heartfelt lyrics, a chorus made for stargazers, and a nod to the bittersweet goodbyes we all know, “Starchild” is an anthem for dreamers, explorers, and anyone brave enough to follow their heart beyond the horizon. ✦⋆｡˚☽˚｡⋆✦✧🌟✧✦⋆｡˚☽˚｡⋆✦ I got my rocket for the midnight sky A pocketful of cosmic rays I’ve got a map to the Pleiades And a thousand lightyears to chase When I drift, when I drift You’re gonna miss me when I drift You’ll miss my laughter in the dark You’ll miss my wishes on your heart, oh You’re gonna miss me when I drift I got my ticket to the edge of dreams Where gravity lets go There’s a nebula with your name in lights But it glows a little less alone, you know When I drift, when I drift You’re gonna miss me when I drift You’ll miss the footprints in the dust You’ll miss the starlight that you trust, oh You’re gonna miss me when I drift Maybe one day I’ll return On a comet’s tail, with stars to burn But tonight, it’s just me and the void And the universe left to explore When I drift, when I drift You’re gonna miss me when I drift You’ll miss my stories from the stars You’ll miss my orbit round your heart, oh You’re gonna miss me when I drift Yeah, you’re sure gonna miss me when I drift away But I’m carrying your love across the Milky Way ✦⋆｡˚☽˚｡⋆✦✧🌟✧✦⋆｡˚☽˚｡⋆✦ // LYRICS © 2025 Xak Stahl // MUSIC & ARRANGEMENT © 2025 Xak Stahl // ART © 2025 Xak Stahl // ALL RIGHTS RESERVED
