(I’ll be the rain) (I’ll be the rain) (I’ll be the rain) (I’ll be the rain) Verse 1: From the sky like tears I was breaking in rain Roaming the streets just to see you again But you hated the rain, behind heavy curtains you hid every lie You told me that you would never say goodbye… Chorus: I’ll be the rain just to hold you tight I’ll be the rain just to kiss you tonight But you hide underneath your umbrella again And you don’t even know it yet How I’ll dance just for you in the rain Verse 2: Evening lights from the shop windows shimmer and spin Quiet city, and you wander alone once again Stealing glances from strangers Searching for me in the crowd Never knowing I came with the thunder so loud Chorus: I’ll be the rain just to hold you tight I’ll be the rain just to kiss you tonight But you hide underneath your umbrella again And you don’t even know it yet How I’ll dance just for you in the rain [Voice] The rain will end… The wind will blow the final drops away The sunlight softly finds your face one day And in the sky above you then you’ll see A rainbow shining bright for you and me The rainbow after the rain Chorus: I’ll be the rain just to hold you tight I’ll be the rain just to kiss you tonight But you hide underneath your umbrella again And you don’t even know it yet How I’ll dance just for you in the rain
