Nordic Discord Challenge - Throwback Thursdays Genre: Melodic Deathcore Theme: After Work Lyrics: Clock hits five, computer screens die We crawl from the offices like wolves from a cage Emails still echo in the back of our skulls But the week is dead, we’re ready to bury the rage Breathe in the friday, let the pressure fall We’ve carried the weight the whole damn week After work Tonight we live After work Tonight we rise Burn the week we sacrificed Sweat and smoke in the break room air Someone’s doing karaoke warfare We scream the chorus like a battle prayer We’re a team, but tonight we’re a pack Staplers snap, deadlines crack We stomp the ghosts of meetings past Friday night forges a different team One built on sweat, not spreadsheets Boss is still here, but the bass is rising Shots line up like a firing squad Teambuilding exercise Survive the dancefloor, dodge the H.R gods Burn the week, burn it down Burn the shadows left behind After work Tonight we live After work Tonight we rise Burn the week we sacrificed Monday waits with sharpened teeth A beast reborn to hunt us clean But tonight we tear these walls apart And howl into the night
