Letter 25 – The Investigations of Antipas in Nazareth

V6-WILD

[Introduction]: Herod Antipas sends emissaries and conducts his own investigations right in the heart of Nazareth to understand who this man really is whose words are unsettling Galilee. [Verse 1]: Through white alleys where the wind comes to anchor, Heavy-footed men have begun to march. They seek out the traces, the secrets of a craftsman, Whose strange voice upsets the flow of time. Antipas wants to know whence comes this light, That disturbs the peace deep within the dust. [Chorus]: In the shadow of power, they seek the truth, A king in a stable, a listened-to prophet. Antipas wonders, his gaze at bay, What does this silence hide deep within the cold woods? [Verse 2]: Neighbors and elders are questioned in secret, About this carpenter's son turned magician. Has he spoken of a throne or of a shattered order? What words of subversion has he thus sown? Tongues hesitate under the weight of fear, Before the tetrarch's shadow and his informants. [Chorus]: In the shadow of power, they seek the truth, A king in a stable, a listened-to prophet. Antipas wonders, his gaze at bay, What does this silence hide deep within the cold woods? [Verse 3]: From Nazareth echoes float back to the palace, Bearing rumors of grace and deeds done. Antipas listens, perplexed and distrustful, Facing the growing mystery of this innocent one. The investigation stalls where faith begins, Leaving power in a troubling silence. [Outro]: The reports pile up, gold is not enough, To buy the spirit of those who follow his steps.
