Title: Protected [Verse 1] Enemies gather in the shadows Plotting what they think I cannot see Whispers travel through the darkness But there's a light that shines on me I walk with head held high, untroubled Confidence in every step I take For I am covered, I am sheltered By the One no man can shake [Pre-Chorus 1] Let them scheme, let them plan Let them think I don't understand Their weapons form but cannot prosper Their words loud but cannot conquer [Chorus] Protected by the Most High God A shield around me night and day Protected from the enemy's flood No evil finds its way Angels standing guard (Standing guard) At His divine command (His command) Protected by the hand of God Nothing shakes where I stand [Verse 2] Every arrow sent against me Falls before it finds its mark Every trap set in my pathway Is exposed before the dark Ten thousand may fall beside me Yet harm won't touch where I dwell For I am covered, I am guarded By the One who knows me well [Pre-Chorus 2] Though they gather, though they boast Though they claim to harm me most Their purpose fails before it starts Their plans dissolve before my God [Chorus] Protected by the Most High God A shield around me night and day Protected from the enemy's flood No evil finds its way Angels standing guard (Standing guard) At His divine command (His command) Protected by the hand of God Nothing shakes where I stand [Bridge] No weapon formed against me No tongue that rises up No scheme conceived in darkness No poison in my cup Can separate me from His love Can penetrate His care Can overcome His mighty hand Can find me unaware [Chorus] Protected by the Most High God A shield around me night and day Protected from the enemy's flood No evil finds its way Angels standing guard (Standing guard) At His divine command (His command) Protected by the hand of God Nothing shakes where I stand [Chorus] Protected by the Most High God A shield around me night and day Protected from the enemy's flood No evil finds its way Angels standing guard (Standing guard) At His divine command (His command) No weapon formed against me No tongue that rises up No scheme conceived in darkness No poison in my cup Can separate me from His love Can penetrate His care Can overcome His mighty hand Can find me unaware No
