Well, gather round the campfire, I’ve got a tale to tell About a moose named Martin stuck in a rather steamy spell (Ba-da-bap, ba-da-bow) (Ba-da-bap, ba-da-bow) Martin took a shortcut past the old red cedar tree He stepped across a geyser, as careless as could be With a rumble and a whoosh, it launched him off the ground Now he’s riding on the water spinning round and round He twisted in the blazing sun, he kicked against the spray He tried to grab a passing branch but it bent the other way He kicked at the spray as it tossed him around But the geyser just blasted him higher off the ground Martin the Moose got stuck in a geyser Up went Martin, higher and higher “Somebody help me!” he bellowed in despair But every last animal seemed not to care A bear began to dig his den for sleeping through the cold The fox sat down to groom his tail and fluff it in the sun Rabbit settled in the shade and nibbled by a tree And all the other animals had somewhere else to be Martin hollered, “Friends, I’m getting rather dizzy!” The squirrel yelled, “We’d love to help, but everybody’s busy!” The water shot him higher till the treetops shrunk below, And poor old Martin groaned, “How high can this thing go?” Martin the Moose got stuck in a geyser Up went Martin, higher and higher “Somebody help me!” he bellowed in despair But every last animal seemed not to care Then a tiny field mouse watched the water rise and fall She couldn't climb that high or pull poor Martin down at all So she found a ranger’s hat just lying on the path Dragged it back behind her, squeaking, “I can handle that!” She shoved it through the water and plugged the bubbling spout The geyser gave a gurgle as it sputtered to a stop The water sank below him and Martin tumbled down He landed in the cattails with all four hooves on the ground Martin the Moose got stuck in a geyser Up went Martin, higher and higher He called for help, but they all looked away Till one little mouse came and saved the day Martin the Moose, what a terrible ride With a sneeze and a wheeze and a splash on the side One little mouse did what nobody would She saw there was trouble and did what she could So remember... If somebody’s stuck way up in the sky Don’t just turn your head and look away Even the smallest can help to save the day (Ba-da-bap, ba-da-bow) (Ba-da-bap, ba-da-bow) A little bit of courage goes a long long way
