The Clumsy Knight at the Feast

V3.5

Verse 1: Our clumsy knight was invited one day, To a grand feast, in a royal way, He donned his finest, clean and bright, But tripped on his cape, what a sight! Chorus: Oh, I'm the clumsy knight, at the feast tonight, I bumble and stumble, but my spirit's light, With a trip and a tumble, I cause some fright, Oh, I'm the clumsy knight, oh what a sight! Verse 2: He sat at the table, laden with food, But knocked over goblets, oh how rude, He reached for bread, but missed the plate, And spilled the soup on the king's new cape. Chorus: Oh, I'm the clumsy knight, at the feast tonight, I bumble and stumble, but my spirit's light, With a trip and a tumble, I cause some fright, Oh, I'm the clumsy knight, oh what a sight! Bridge: The nobles laughed, the jesters too, "What will this knight manage to do?" But with a grin and a sheepish bow, He said, "I'll improve, just show me how!" Verse 3: He danced in the hall with all his might, But stepped on toes, left and right, Yet with each fall, he got back up, And raised his tankard, "Fill my cup!" Chorus: Oh, I'm the clumsy knight, at the feast tonight, I bumble and stumble, but my spirit's light, With a trip and a tumble, I cause some fright, Oh, I'm the clumsy knight, oh what a sight! Outro: So raise your cups and toast with cheer, For the clumsy knight we hold so dear, He may not be the smoothest knight, But he's the one who makes things bright!
