Try a little sleepin’ Try to close your eyes You are fast approaching The dark side of the night Try to get your nods in Do it for your mum And the night-time characters Can’t leave you free to roam You’re alright to settle down You’re probably safe Coast is remarkably clear Lay your sweet head down to the pillow Lay it down, lay down, Lay it down my’dear. Try a little shut eye Try to bugger off Playthings will be here come the morning And we’ll put it to a vote Try to watch the sheep hop They’ve come to say hello These are your final minutes At least, that’s what I’m told You’re alright to settle down You’re probably safe Coast is remarkably clear Lay your sweet head down to the pillow Lay it down, lay down, Lay it down my’dear. Won’t you settle down Won’t you settle down Ain’t your duvet cold? Duvet’s in the zone Won’t you settle down Sleepy bloke [music] You’re alright to settle down You’re probably safe Coast is remarkably clear Lay your sweet head on the pillow Lay it down, lay down, Lay it down You’re alright to settle down You’re probably safe Coast is remarkably clear Lay your sweet head on the pillow Lay it down, lay down, Lay it down That’s all
