SONG STYLE Punchy early-2000s British girlband pop-R&B. Confident, sassy and playful with a slick Y2K feel, natural female vocal handovers and melodic girl-group harmonies. DON’T PUSH IT [Intro — Female Vocal] You’re getting brave now Careful how far you go [Verse 1 — Female Lead] You like testing my patience Seeing how far you can go Little comments, little games Like I’m never gonna know You keep pushing every button Then you smile like you’re surprised Baby, I can play it sweet But don’t mistake that for being nice [Pre-Chorus — Female Vocal Change] You’re getting closer to the line I see that look that’s in your eyes You wanna know what happens next Keep playing and you might find out [Chorus — Girl Group Harmonies, Melodic] Don’t push it You know exactly what you’re doing to me That little look is getting dangerous And you’re enjoying every second, I can see Don’t push it There’s only so much trouble you can make If you wanna keep me interested Know just how much I can take You know I like the way you move But you’ve still got something left to prove Don’t push it too far tonight And maybe I’ll let you get it right [Verse 2 — Different Female Lead] You’ve got confidence, I like that Little trouble looks good on you But there’s something you should understand I’ve got attitude to match yours too You can pull me a little closer You can whisper in my ear But if you think you’re running this Let me make one thing clear [Pre-Chorus — Female Vocal Change] You’re getting closer every time And maybe I don’t really mind You wanna see how far we’ll go Just don’t assume you’re in control [Chorus — Girl Group Harmonies, Melodic] Don’t push it You know exactly what you’re doing to me That little look is getting dangerous And you’re enjoying every second, I can see Don’t push it There’s only so much trouble you can make If you wanna keep me interested Know just how much I can take You know I like the way you move But you’ve still got something left to prove Don’t push it too far tonight And maybe I’ll let you get it right [Bridge — Female Vocals Trading Melodic Lines] Maybe I like you dangerous Maybe I like the chase Maybe I like that little smile When I put you in your place You think you’ve nearly got me Maybe you’re not completely wrong But knowing when to hold it back Is what keeps me holding on [Instrumental R&B Break] [Female Vocal — Soft Build] Come a little closer You don’t have to ask Just remember, baby Don’t move quite so fast [Final Chorus — Full Girl Group Harmonies] Don’t push it You know exactly what you’re doing to me That little look is getting dangerous And you’re enjoying every second, I can see Don’t push it There’s only so much trouble you can make If you wanna keep me interested Know just how much I can take You know I like the way you move And maybe you’ve got nothing left to prove Don’t push it too far tonight You’re getting dangerously close to right [Outro — Soft Female Vocal] Careful how far you go You might just get what you want
