WH 40k. Ksun Bakir. Flower

V5.5

[Intro - quiet piano, wind, distant mechanical hum] Once I knew the scent of earth after rain. Once I knew the warmth of another hand. Now there is only steel. Only time. Only memory. And one small flower… that somehow survived it all. [Verse I] I found it where the war had died, Among black stones and ashes white. Where gauss-fire burned the world away, One little flower still remained. Alive. I raised my hand. My legions froze. A million soldiers stood like stone. The Cryptek asked: — My Queen, what is it? I slowly knelt. Before the flower. [Pre-Chorus] So fragile. So useless. So mortal. And yet… it did what all my armies never could. It made me remember. [Chorus] FLOWER AMONG METAL, ALIVE AMONG THE GRAVES! You brought me back a memory I thought had burned away. Hands that once were warm. A heart that used to beat. Morning sunlight on my face. The earth beneath my feet. I became eternal. I became strong. Colder than the stone. But one small flower whispered: YOU HAVE LOST SOMETHING OF YOUR OWN. [Verse II] I hold it gently in my hands, afraid the fragile stem might break. Funny. These hands destroyed whole cities. These hands commanded endless wars. These hands sent millions into fire. Yet now they tremble for one little flower. Long ago someone gave me one like this. Who? … I don’t remember. [Verse III - softer] I remember a field. Maybe. A yellow sun. Maybe. Someone laughing. Someone walking. Someone’s fingers moving through my hair. I try to see their face. It fades. Again. Again. Only one voice remains: — Ksun, look. — Isn’t it beautiful? I whisper: — Who are you? But memory doesn’t answer. [Chorus - stronger] FLOWER AMONG METAL, THE LAST LIVING FLAME! Inside your fragile petals lives everything I lost by name. My home. My childhood. My first sunrise. All those I loved before eternity arrived. They gave me immortality. They took away my years. So why does something inside me still know how to cry, watching a flower that tomorrow has to die? [Bridge - almost silence] The Cryptek said: — We can preserve it. Replace its cells. Rebuild its form. Make it eternal. [long pause] — No. — Why? — Because then… it would become just like us. [Silence] Let it live. Let it fear the cold. Let it reach toward the sun. Let it bloom. Let it fade. Let it die one day. Let it remain what I can never be again. ALIVE. [Verse IV - orchestra slowly builds] I planted it beside my tomb, where nothing grew for endless years. And every morning I return alone. I look at it. And ask: — Are you still alive? And every new petal makes me believe that somewhere inside this metal, the girl I used to be has not completely disappeared. [Final Chorus - huge orchestra, choir, heavy guitars] FLOWER AMONG METAL! LAST LIGHT INSIDE MY SOUL! As long as your petals still reach for the sun — I REMEMBER WHAT IT MEANS TO LIVE! I remember sunlight! I remember rain! I remember love though I’ve forgotten every name! I remember hands! I remember home! I remember the heartbeat I no longer own! Call me Queen of a million machines! Call me immortal! Call me eternal! Tonight I ask the whole galaxy for only one thing: DON’T TOUCH MY FLOWER! Because as long as you are alive — SOMEWHERE INSIDE I AM STILL ALIVE! [Finale - everything collapses to piano] A few days later… the flower withered. The Crypteks waited. The legions waited. They waited for my command. But no command came. I only held the dried flower in my hands. And remembered. Not the face. Not the name. Not the place. Only one thing. Warmth. [Outro - broken whisper, lonely piano] I kept the flower. Not in a museum. Not in an archive. Not among my trophies. I hid it beside my oldest memories. And sometimes, when eternity becomes too long, I take it out and whisper: — Ksun… you were alive once. [long silence] Don’t forget
