[Verse 1] Cold wind creeping up your back, Black ice cracking where you stand. He’s out there humming through the trees, Sneaking in quiet like a one-man band. Footprints fading in the streetlight glow, Shadows stretch long, everybody moves slow. You feel him breathing on the nape of your neck, Better run for cover when he's cashin’ that check. [Pre-Chorus] He don’t knock, he don’t call, He just waits by the dead-leaf wall. Yeah, he knows your name, He knows your name. [Chorus] You better run, better hide, Old Man Winter’s on the other side. Got a chill in his step, And he’s callin’ your name. Better move, don’t stall, Once he hits, he’s takin’ it all. Got a cold little grin, And he’s callin’ your name. [Verse 2] Streetlamps flicker with a static hum, Ice storms hitting like a warning drum. Kids keep running but the night gets thin, And he’ll slip right through if you let him in. Snowflakes fallin’ like a slow drum beat, Heartbeat syncing with the crunch of your feet. Neighborhood whispers, “He’s on the prowl,” Keep one eye open when the wind starts to howl. [Pre-Chorus] He don’t sleep, he don’t blink, Shows up faster than you think. [Bridge – airy, echoey] Close your doors, shut your blinds, He’s slippin’ through the power lines. Hear that hum in the midnight air? Yeah… that means he’s almost there. [Final Chorus] So run, run, run, Old Man Winter’s comin’. Run, run, run, Yeah, he’s callin’ your name. Got a chill in his step, And he’s comin’ your way… Run, run, run— He’s callin’ your name.
