Keep Me in the Fire

Keep me in the fire till the dross is burned out, Purify my heart, remove sin and fear and doubt; Kindle faith within me as I see this trouble through, Keep me in the fire until I look like You. For Your ways are higher than mine, And though I don’t always understand, I know You work all things together for good; According to your plan. Keep me in the fire till the dross is burned out, Purify my heart, remove sin and fear and doubt; Kindle faith within me as I see this trouble through, Keep me in the fire until I look like You. Keep me in the fire, Keep me in Your care; When the flames rise all around me, Remind me You are there. Burn away what’s false in me, Let Your love come shining through; Keep me in the fire, Lord, Till I look like You.
