[Intro] Fred my Fred my dear Fred Longing for the times we had Sunsets bright we miss so bad Oh so bad [Instrumental bridge] [Verse 1] Vacation dreams! They were so grand For loving hearts that flew To desert land So Alice said Oh Fred Why did you break this hotel rule You stupid fool (Fool) (Fool) [Verse 2] Alice darling stop to cry Trying make the bribe wasn't right Oh darling Don't you cry [Chorus] In our minds We’re free tonight Holding on to love So tight [Guitar solo] [Verse 3] Oh boy I tried to make things right by bribe But caught again In desert night [Bridge] Separate cells but hearts so near Whispered tales and shed A tear [Chorus] In our minds We’re free tonight Holding on to love So tight [Verse] Alice darling stop to cry Trying make the bribe wasn't right Oh darling Don't you cry [Outro] Side by side We’re locked away Remembering The golden days
