Happy evening on the beach (A MILLION YEARS B.C.)

[Verse 1] Sand stuck to my feet Smoke in my hair That lazy heat You laugh Say “Look They’re back again” Big old lizards on the ridge My friend We chased ‘em through the dusk Shouting Throwing sticks and dust Till the sky turned soft and pink And they finally turned and blinked [Chorus] Happy evening on the beach We shut the dinosaurs down Outta reach (hey!) Got a pile of meat for the ones I love Big fire Big moon Stars above Happy evening on the beach Salt on my skin Family in my reach I got all I need Yeah I got all I need [Verse 2] Kids dance round the flame Faces red Calling out my name You tear bread in your hands Pass it down the drifting sand Dripping fat on stone Every laugh says “We’re not alone” Dawn is peeking Pale and slow But we’re not ready yet to go [Chorus] Happy evening on the beach We shut the dinosaurs down Outta reach (oh yeah!) Got a pile of meat for the ones I love Big fire Big moon Stars above Happy evening on the beach Salt on my skin Family in my reach I got all I need Yeah I got all I need
