Chapter IV: Of Ancient Myth and Newborn Wrath
Down! Down! Into the twilight halls I descend Down! Down! Into the darkness once foretold Whispers of an age long past The wind, it carries voices dark Their warnings echo, resonate Yet I push onward, unafraid The old world calls in tongues of stone A debt I never called my own The blood runs cold, but wrath runs hot I feel the thing they never fought Of ancient myth and newborn wrath Under the mountain leads my path The old world's doom becomes my own To slay what claimed the mountain's throne Down! Down! Into the caverns long forgotten Down! Down! Into the kingdom of the lost So let the ancient myth be true Let fate demand what fate is due I will not kneel to what awaits Deep down below - my oathbound fate! The bards still sing of elder lore A weapon none has seen before Crafted by a masters hand The bane of wyrms to cleanse these lands Of ancient myth and newborn wrath Under the mountain leads my path The old world's doom becomes my own To slay what claimed the mountain's throne
