God’s Planet

If you’re struggling at the thought of getting older, Join the club, the rest of us will share a shoulder, When we were young we had heard of such a thing Now we face it, we see it, we feel it….dang Consider this, living life as ageless, Already embracing eternity, fearless and faceless, Since the inevitable is true, well, I don’t know about you But, the earth is a paradise, as heaven is too I will never understand, the screaming of a pulpit man Convincing others that we live on a broken planet No, it’s not New Age, nor from a sorcerer’s book page That makes me appreciate the beauty and splendor of this Age. Consider this, living life as ageless, Already embracing eternity, fearless and faceless, Since the inevitable is true, well, I don’t know about you But, the earth is a paradise, as heaven is too Wouldn’t it be amazing, if the Genesis Creator was gazing Upon His people below, and His ear to the ground Focusing on His planet’s beauty, yet some feel it’s their duty To ask for Holy annihilation, to make humanity again sound Consider this, living life as ageless, Already embracing eternity, fearless and faceless, Since the inevitable is true, well, I don’t know about you But, the earth is a paradise, as heaven is too Since Earth is His creation, populated by many nations And all, in realtime, made a choice, to believe that it was His voice Excuse me, if I sound terse, as if denying the curse It just seems sad, that we think we’ll be truly glad When this planet melts in flames, and for wanting mass death, we feel no shame Daily, watching, seeking, loving Hoping, caring, reaching, praying Asking, looking, dining deep…. How can love be so ready for strangers to weep Consider this, living life as ageless, Already embracing eternity, fearless and faceless, Since the inevitable is true, well, I don’t know about you But, the earth is a paradise, as heaven is too When I thought I knew everything about Him I was as far away from the truth as a man could be Then I remembered He said we must become as children I was stripped of boasting, conclusions, and a monopoly On being the only true church, a member of a very small society What I thought was adoption, was nothing more than piety There seems to be a pattern in old and new groups A predictable church system, a revelation, the truth Consider this, living life as ageless, Already embracing eternity, fearless and faceless, Since the inevitable is true, well, I don’t know about you But, the earth is a paradise, as heaven is too Other church bodies are simply unaware of all that God is saying And out of fear, obligation, and confusion, in spite of this, people are staying How quickly we categorize those who do not agree, I did it, I wrote them off and they had never even met me I’m sorry but it comes down to a personal Savior, Most of us simply assist, but He, and He alone brings favor So, when you hear me thank Him for this beautiful planet, I’m simply trying to be a good steward, of His creation, He planned it.
