Light

The past is drawing a long, wide line Into a future dressed in changing light Soft and strong in the same embrace Tenderness is finding its place In the dance of life, we’re carried on Now our hearts are opening wide To live a love that will not divide Light is rising over night Hope is healing what once ached Peace is falling like gentle rain Let it settle on our pain Like winter buds beneath the snow Dreaming of spring they’ve always known So we learn to lean toward love Pull this truth from deep within us And make it real, make it now Even if it’s only a dream A childlike wish that still believes Light is rising over night Hope is healing what once ached Peace is falling like gentle rain Let it settle on our pain If wishing’s all we’ve ever had A quiet force against the bad Still it lives inside our skin A gift that ties us to all that is Light is rising, soft and true Darkness fades, we’re passing through Peace is falling, stay, remain In the dance of life, we sing again
