[Verse] Meet the Donkstrich An odd little creature (oo-yeah!) Half donkey Half ostrich What a strange feature (ha-ha!) Timid and shy Head in the soil (uh-huh!) Wants to be a horse Makes us all smile (oh yeah!) [Chorus] Donkstrich shufflin' Can't hide from the day (oo-yeah!) Trying to be mighty But keeps slipping away (uh-huh!) Pretending to be a horse What a sweet display (hey hey!) Lamentable But oh In a quirky way (oh-oh!) [Verse 2] Long ears Long legs A combo so rare (uh-huh) Kicks up dust But can't really compare (oo-yeah!) Wishing it had power Like a thoroughbred's flair (oh yeah) Stuck in between Life ain't really fair (hah!) [Bridge] Feathers and fur It's a comical blend (oh-oh) Running from the world How far can it fend? (uh-huh) Caught in confusion Won't you be my friend? (oo-yeah) A funny little life On none it depends (hey hey!) [Verse 3] Dreams of galloping But it's just a trot (uh-huh) Caught between worlds One big melting pot (oo-yeah) Wanting to be more But it’s what it's got (oh yeah) The Donkstrich life is quite the paradox (hah!) [Chorus] Donkstrich shufflin' Can't hide from the day (oo-yeah!) Trying to be mighty But keeps slipping away (uh-huh!) Pretending to be a horse What a sweet display (hey hey!) Lamentable But oh In a quirky way (oh-oh!)
