[Verse 1] Lately I’ve been running circles Chasing days that disappear Trying hard to find the meaning In the noise I always hear But every sunrise keeps on whispering “Lift your head, don’t you give up” There’s a fire still burning in me I know I’m stronger than I was [Pre-Chorus] And every dream feels far away But every step still counts the same [Chorus] ‘Cause time is flying and life is getting the best of us Will we look back and see the best of us? Or will we lose the moments we were made to rise above? I’m choosing now to believe There’s more ahead than what I see If time is flying and life is getting the best of us I’ll give my all until the best of us shows up [Verse 2] People come and seasons change But purpose never fades Every setback taught me courage Every heartbreak cleared the way For the light that’s breaking through me For the voice I finally trust I’m still learning how to love me But I’m becoming who I must [Pre-Chorus] And every doubt that held me back Is just a shadow in the past [Chorus] ‘Cause time is flying and life is getting the best of us Will we look back and see the best of us? Or will we lose the moments we were made to rise above? I’m choosing now to believe There’s more ahead than what I see If time is flying and life is getting the best of us I’ll give my all until the best of us shows up [Bridge] Here’s to the dreamers working late Here’s to the ones who lost their way Here’s to the broken learning faith You’re not alone, you’re not too late Lift your heart, lift your eyes You’re still standing, still alive There’s a world waiting on your rise [Final Chorus] ‘Cause time is flying and life is getting the best of us But we’ll look back and see the best of us Every fight, every fall, every mountain we climbed above I’m choosing now to believe There’s greatness in what we can be If time is flying and life is getting the best of us We’ll rise again until the best of us shows up [Outro] Yeah, we’ll rise again… Until the best of us… shows up.
