Write a song in the style of Arlo Parks that blends intimate poetry, understated R&B and indie-pop warmth, Start with soft, breathy vocals—almost spoken-word—in a lo‑fi bedroom pop setting, with warm guitar, mellow bass, subtle percussion and vinyl crackle or tape hiss for texture, Keep verses reflective and empathetic, exploring themes like mental health, queer love, self‑discovery, grief and hope, Include vivid sensory detail: colours, smells, textures, small everyday gestures, Gradually shift into a gentle chorus with lush harmonies or a calm swell of synths or strings, then return to the quiet intimacy, Use lyrical simplicity that feels conversational and honest—as if writing in a journal, comforting yet wise, Structure: verse → pre‑chorus gentle lift → chorus warm release → verse → subtle bridge → final chorus fading to intimacy

[Instrumental intro: guitar feedback builds then breaks into an Indian sounding funeral dirge strummed on a guitar with warm tube amp feedback overtones, occasional bass drum and tom tom accompaniment mimicking the sound of tabla drums. As the dirge sounds like it comes to a natural end the main verse of the song crashes in…] [Verse 1] Once out on a highway To get back home Well you never understood that it did no good Looking back on the hood you're a rolling stone [Verse 2] Now you see it different What a way to go And you walk like me and you talk like me With a quick see you later and away you go [Chorus] Baby blue Baby blue The sun is going down over you [Verse 3] Once you had a reason A girl with chestnut hair But you saw it all coming and you never quit running And you give yourself time to get out of there [Verse 4] Don't talk to me about reason Cause I'm aware That we're all on the brink with your head on the blink And I can't stop to think or I'll still be there [Chorus] Baby blue Baby blue The sun is going down over you [Bridge] That's a life you chose to leave From the cradle to the grave Better take a look and see, better get yourself saved Get yourself free [Chorus] Baby blue Baby blue The sun is going down over you [Outro] That's a life you chose to leave From the cradle to the grave Better take a look and see, better get yourself saved Get yourself free (Yeah)
