This is an artistic attempt to imagine what the music of the Paleolithic might have sounded like, inspired by archaeological evidence but without any claim to scientific accuracy. One challenge is that some archaeologically documented instruments, such as bullroarers and shell rattles, cannot be accurately reproduced by AI, as these sounds are largely absent from its training data. Another challenge is that we have no knowledge of the melodies, rhythms, or vocal traditions that were actually used at the time. In this case, the AI has drawn on patterns from its training data that may resemble the music of present-day Indigenous cultures. Such similarities are coincidental and should not be understood as an authentic reconstruction of Paleolithic European music, but rather as a creative interpretation inspired by the limited archaeological evidence available.
