When H’vo looks at someone, he sees what part of them would sacrifice itself so the rest can keep walking,- a weight that doesn’t come from fear or pride, but from the last piece that actually cares if anything survives. For this deal he lets that weight decide what may be erased. Outside of that, he can cut far rougher if asked, but here the rule is simple: the part that cares points at something, he removes it, and no one else will ever know exactly what was spent..... (yea i know... i had to twist the term "love" a little... πŸ‘€) ────── ✧ 🜲 ✧ ────── lyrics and reinterpretation: βœ’οΈEqvirther music guided by my vision (suno.ai) Β© 2025 eqvirther - respectful narrative reinterpretation ────── ✧ 🜲 ✧ ────── ⟑ LYRICS ⟑ [Verse] Let’s go somewhere You have never been, Past the last lamp post Where the noise gives in. Let’s do something, Step away from their glow And stand with the shape Only love knows. [Verse] You’ll be someone You have never been; I’m the open jaw You won’t name again. When I lean closer, Every engine slows, I pull through my ribs Till only love knows. [Bridge] Maybe you will feel it hours from now, Reaching for a thought that never quite arrives. That clean, blank space where something should have been That is all I leave, and all you get to keep. [Verse] Let’s find something You can let me taste, Some old weight you guard Out of habit, not belief. Let’s do something, Step off of the road; I’ll hand back the piece Only love chose. When I release you, You return to the road. [Outro] You’ll walk away Thinking you decided what to leave. I’ll move above the tower rows, Carrying the names you don’t recall. When a stranger thought Drops into your voice and feels like yours, That is just the part of you I kept. I remember you whole when you were still noise. You remember the version I let go. I know the turn Only love knows. (But you will never know.) ...you will never...... ─────────────── ✧ 🜲 ✧ ─────────────── πŸ‹βŸ‘ Story Note – Off the Road, Under the Mouth βŸ‘πŸ‹ ─────────────── ✧ 🜲 ✧ ─────────────── There is a stretch of road where the lamps thin out and the city stops sounding so sure of itself. On most nights it’s just wet concrete and distant traffic. On the right kind of tired, you look up and see a bald figure at the rail, and above him the sky has the long curve of a whale’s underside, quietly matching the lines of the streets below. He doesn’t drag anyone away. He waits until you step off the lane on your own and stand close enough that the noise inside you separates into layers he can read: habit, fear, self-sabotage,- and one smaller vector that still cares what survives. He does not call that β€œlove”, but that is what the title means: the part of you that would actually pay a price so someone else, or some version of you, can keep going. For this kind of meeting, he lets that vector decide. It tilts toward one weight you’ve carried too long, and that is the piece he draws through himself and up into the dark shape above the towers. You walk back onto the asphalt lighter, convinced you finally chose differently. You did. You just don’t remember what you spent. If you ever come back and ask him to be harsher, he can cut without that rule. But this song is the gentle contract: in this deal, he removes only what that last caring part of you was willing to lose,- and keeps the full ledger to himself.
