If you’re an American, you should own a gun. It’s fun to aim and watch something go *Pop!* and it’s important you defend your life, because, ultimately, you’re all you’ve got. I started getting into shooting in 2019 (literally pre-Covid) and bought my first handgun in March of 2020. During that time, going out and shooting became a way for my dad and I to spend time together. I’m not a republican nor a democrat. So, don’t go there. *************************************************** [Verse] In the iron grip of the frontier's fate The six-shooter spins its creed Leather cracks from wind and the wait You'll find dust in every need Self-reliance Born in quietness Campfire Coffee Sky Ain't here to break the silence Just live Or just die [Chorus] Cold steel promise In a callused hand Lil weight Heavy shadow In this hungry land Where freedom’s spark Meets the edge of dread It’s a cold steel promise (Cold steel) [Verse] Equal measure Humanity and story Each gets stretched thin Every legend leaves its glory Every grave knows where it’s been Cards and eyes across the table Sweat and whiskey breath Any choice a loaded fable Any line could mean your death [Chorus] Cold steel promise In a callused hand Lil weight Heavy shadow In this hungry land Where freedom’s spark Meets the edge of dread It’s a cold steel promise (Cold steel) You might live You might live by what you've said It’s a cold steel promise [Bridge] When you finally draw your will Is it mercy Is it pride That keeps your finger still Or the fear of what you’ll carry (draw!) [Chorus] Cold steel promise In a callused hand Lil weight Heavy shadow In this hungry land Where freedom’s spark Meets the edge of dread It’s a cold steel promise (Cold steel) You might live You might live by what you've said It’s a cold steel promise (Cold steel) You might live You might live by what you've said It’s a cold steel promise ******************************************************** Copyright © 2026 Holy Beast Records.
