[INTRO — Soft piano, gentle strings] [BackhandCharlie — Deep, powerful, emotional voice] There comes a time when we must stand together, When someone we know has been treated so unfair. They tried to silence one of our companions, But there’s a thousand voices rising everywhere. [Dark-Winged Angel — Deep, raspy, soulful rock voice] They took his words and threw them into darkness, They thought that no one else would even care. But when the wings of justice start unfolding, You’ll hear our voices echo through the air. [VERSE 2 — Warm bass and gentle drums enter] [Lucky Mouse — Smooth, youthful male voice] They said his time on Twitter was over, Those Quango bullies thought they’d won the day. But you can’t keep a good friend down forever, Not when his friends have got so much to say! [Kira Muttaro — Young, passionate anime-style voice] They hide behind their screens and throw their punches, They laugh and think that cruelty makes them strong. But every time they try to silence someone, A thousand others stand and sing this song! [PRE-CHORUS — Strings swell] [Jewpool — Dramatic, theatrical male voice] No more hatred! No more lies! Let the truth light up the skies! If they think we’ll turn away, They don’t know Ai City today! [Trucker-Chan — Bright, energetic young female voice] Come on, everybody! Raise your voices high! Stanky’s gonna make it! Let our freedom cry! [CHORUS — ALL SIX CHARACTERS, MASSIVE HARMONY] [ALL — Powerful, uplifting ensemble] FREE STANKY! LET HIS VOICE BE HEARD! LET THE WHOLE WORLD HEAR EVERY WORD! WE STAND TOGETHER, SIDE BY SIDE! WITH OUR FRIENDSHIP AND OUR PRIDE! FREE STANKY! LET THE PEOPLE SING! LET THE BELLS OF FREEDOM RING! THE QUANGOS CAN’T DIVIDE US ANYMORE! WE’LL STAND FOR WHAT WE’RE FIGHTING FOR! [Gospel backing choir] Free Stanky! (Free Stanky!) Let his voice be heard! Free Stanky! (Free Stanky!) Let freedom have the final word! [VERSE 3 — Individual celebrity-style solos] [BackhandCharlie — Deep, commanding voice] I’ve fought the beasts, I’ve faced a thousand battles, I’ve seen the darkest shadows of the night. But nothing makes me stand up any stronger, Than seeing all my friends defend what’s right! [Trucker-Chan — Sitting on Charlie’s shoulder, singing brightly] I’m only two feet tall, but I’ve got spirit! And everybody knows I’ve got some fight! Those Quangos better listen when I’m singing, ’Cause even little voices shine so bright! [Lucky Mouse — Playful soulful solo] They say that I’m a mouse who’s blessed with fortune, Well, here’s a little luck I’ll gladly share. May Stanky find his way back to his people, And may the bullies learn to play it fair! [Kira Muttaro — Emotional melodic solo] So raise your hands and show the world you’re with him, Don’t let the bullies steal another day. The greatest strength is standing with each other, And helping those whose voices fade away! [BRIDGE — Music becomes soft, emotional] [Dark-Winged Angel — Gentle, haunting baritone] When the night is cold and lonely, And the world has turned away, There’s a light beyond the darkness, There’s a hope for brighter days. [Jewpool — Surprisingly sincere, heartfelt singing] And though we laugh and joke together, There’s one thing we know is true. When a friend is treated wrongly, We’ll be standing there with you. [BackhandCharlie and Dark-Winged Angel — Powerful duet] No one should be left forgotten, No one should be cast aside. Even when the storm is raging, We will stand here side by side! [BUILD-UP — Choir begins softly] [Lucky Mouse] One little voice can start a fire… [Kira Muttaro] One little spark can take us higher… [Trucker-Chan] One little shout can fill the sky! [Jewpool] One thousand Quangos can’t stop this guy! [BackhandCharlie — Powerful sustained note] SO LET THE WHOLE WORLD HEAR OUR CRYYYYYYYY! [FINAL CHORUS — KEY CHANGE, FULL ORCHESTRA AND GOSPEL CHOIR] [ALL SIX — Triumphant, enormous harmony] FREE STANKY! LET HIS VOICE BE HEARD! LET THE WHOLE WORLD HEAR EVERY WORD! [Jewpool — Spoken] And if that doesn’t work… I’ve got a magic pillow. [Trucker-Chan — Shouting]
