Hell in Heaven © Håkon Rian Mancient Ueland 2026 You danced without knowing how to dance, sang out loud but couldn't sing, You were always where the action was, always the center of the crowd, You drank without knowing how to drink, used a Mac but didn't understand it, Always in a discussion about life, politics, and death. You aren't here now, your mind slowly melted away, The fight inside you turned to stone all too fast, You died before you died, and you mourned every single day, An echo of your voice sounds within my heartbeat. If there is a heaven, a place where rebels gather, then I am sure you are there. Drinking rum with Che Guevara, smoking cigars with Fidel, And one thing is for certain: you are raising hell in heaven. (hell in heaven) When others tiptoed quietly around someone life had broken, you were there by their side, speaking with calm breath, When emotions overtook reason, you stroked wet cheeks With simple, kind words and a warm embrace. When those in power trampled the weak, and gloated from the top, You stood up with your anger, shouted loudly from a small frame, You refused to be cowed, you fought with wise words, An advocate for truth, for justice on our earth. If there is a heaven, a place where rebels gather, then I am sure you are there. Singing Imagine with John Lennon, eating rice with Gandhi, And one thing is for certain: you are raising hell in heaven (hell in heaven)
