[Intro – Soulful Keys, Finger Snaps] You ever notice... Bad news doesn't even need directions. It just shows up. [Pause] Well... Good News got running shoes too. [808 DROPS] [Verse 1] Everybody heard what went wrong by ten, by eleven they were telling it all again. One little rumor grew legs overnight, running through the room like it paid for the mic. But tell somebody hope? Tell somebody grace? Tell 'em there's a God who can meet 'em in this place? Why we whisper that when we shout everything else? Nah. Good News... INTRODUCE YOURSELF! [Pre-Chorus] If fear can fly, hope can run. If doubt gets loud, then turn faith up! Got something worth saying, so I'm saying it proud... GOOD NEWS! [Gospel Backing Vocals] GOOD NEWS! [Sister Grace] Pick up the pace now! [Chorus] GOOD NEWS TRAVELS FAST! Pass it on, don't let it pass! Love came down, hope came back, mercy put my whole life on a brand-new track! GOOD NEWS TRAVELS FAST! Tell your neighbor, tell your past: You don't own me, God restored me, that's a headline built to last! If bad news runs... GOOD NEWS BETTER RUN FASTER! [Verse 2] Here's today's headline: Grace still wins. Mercy's still open. Come on in. Hope ain't closed, love ain't through, and whatever yesterday said about you... God gets the final word. Put THAT in print. Front-page faith with a permanent ink. No clickbait needed, no rumor attached. Jesus saves. Yeah... GOOD NEWS TRAVELS FAST! [Beat Break] [Sister Grace] Okay. How fast? [Drums Begin Building] Oh... You shouldn't have asked. [FAST RAP – Increasing Speed] Good news, move news, tell-'em-what-He-do news, old life gone, walking-in-the-new news! Grace came through, mercy made room, hope walked in and kicked out the gloom! Pass that, share that, send that quick, love got legs and the message gon' stick! No gossip, no maybe, no "somebody said," I'm talking 'bout a Savior who got up from the dead! Run it to the east, run it to the west, tell somebody tired they can finally find rest! Tell somebody broken they're not beyond repair, tell somebody lonely God is already there! [Flow Speeds Up] Good-good-good news, move-move-move, hope got rhythm and the truth got groove! Faith on feet, joy on track, mercy moving forward, ain't looking back! If a lie goes viral, let the truth go GLOBAL! If fear gets vocal, then hope gets VOCAL! Got love in the message, got fire in the facts, got a whole lotta Gospel... AND I'M RUNNING LAPS! [Beat Stops] Need me to slow down? [Pause] No? Good. [BEAT SLAMS BACK – FASTER RAP] Grace to the lost, hope to the hurt, love to the ones who don't know what they're worth! Peace to the worried, strength to the weak, Good News ain't Good News if we never let it speak! So speak it, live it, give it away, put a little bit of Heaven in somebody's day! No subscription, no admission, no permission slip attached! READY? SET? GO! GOOD NEWS TRAVELS FAST! [Huge Gospel Chorus] GOOD NEWS TRAVELS FAST! [Outro – Beat Drops Away] [Sister Grace, catching her breath] Okay... Maybe it travels a little too fast. [Gospel Voice] GOOD NEWS! [Sister Grace] There it goes again. [Final 808 Hit]
