[Verse 1] Happy birthday, little brother, hear me say it clear, You’ve kept our promises alive through every passing year. I was your protector, your second parent too, As far back as I can remember, I was watching over you. [Pre-Chorus] I called you Squirt, and loved you with my whole heart then, Some things never leave us, some stories never end. [Chorus] Now it’s your turn to protect, and you’re doing a darn good job, You show up with a steady heart, no matter how hard it gets. You’re the funny one with something positive to say, So I’m wishing you the brightest, happiest birthday. The day you came into this world, we celebrate you today. [Verse 2] You can turn a heavy room around with one well-timed joke, Find a little good in life when other people lose their hope. I can’t say you got that gift from me, but I’ll gladly take the blame, Because the love I felt for you ran deeper than I could name. [Bridge] From the kid I called my Squirt to the man you’ve become, You carry care and courage wherever you go, wherever you run. I’m proud of every promise you keep and every life you touch, Little brother, you’ve grown strong, and I love you so much. [Final Chorus] Now it’s your turn to protect, and you’re doing a darn good job, You show up with a steady heart, no matter how hard it gets. You’re the funny one with something positive to say, And I’m wishing you the brightest happiness today. The day you were born is still a gift to everyone, Happy birthday, little brother—your best days have begun. [Outro] The day you were born, The day we got you, Happy birthday, little brother.
