[Verse 1 — Female Lead] Deep in the woods An old house stands Three curious strangers With curious plans A dusty table A house so small Three pretty dolls Behind the walls We wave hello You come to see A tiny door A golden key [Pre-Chorus — Three Female Voices] The room grows taller! The floor grows wide! You're getting smaller! Come on inside! [Chorus — All Three, Shouted] WELCOME TO THE DOLLHOUSE! Come inside and play! WELCOME TO THE DOLLHOUSE! You may never get away! Tiny doors and crooked halls! Hear us laughing through the walls! WELCOME TO THE DOLLHOUSE! You're our toys today! [Verse 2 — Female Lead] Dancing chairs And floating stairs Talking clocks And teddy bears A twisted hallway An upside-down room A laughing portrait A singing broom The teacups whisper The mirrors grin We lock the doors And let you in! [Pre-Chorus — Three Female Voices] Turn to the left! Turn to the right! Every little doorway Changes overnight! [Bridge — Stop-Start Metal Breakdown] [Doll 1] Looking for the exit? [Doll 2] Looking for the key? [Doll 3] There's something in the mirror You really ought to see! [All Three — Building] Porcelain fingers! Painted little eyes! Your skin is turning white! WHAT A LOVELY SURPRISE! [All Three — Screamed] ONE! TWO! THREE! YOU BELONG TO ME! [Final Chorus — Full Metal Energy] WELCOME TO THE DOLLHOUSE! Come inside and play! WELCOME TO THE DOLLHOUSE! You may never get away! Tiny doors and crooked halls! Hear us laughing through the walls! WELCOME TO THE DOLLHOUSE! You're our toys today! WELCOME TO THE DOLLHOUSE! Where the little monsters play! WELCOME TO THE DOLLHOUSE! Now you're here to stay! [Outro — Three Female Voices] [Doll 1 — Sweetly] Aren't you adorable? [Doll 2 — Giggling] Look at your little face! [Doll 3 — Laughing] We made you a special place! [All Three — Shouted] WELCOME TO THE DOLLHOUSE!
