© music and lyrics by Koki @kokinozawa This song is for #EchoesOfTheEarth And the first single for my upcoming doujin/fantasy album called 'Bravehearts' "Wild Child" is told from the perspective of the Earth, calling out to all of her children. Both the wild and those who have lost their way. Through the story of a boy raised alongside a grey wolf. A bond between nature, innocence, and the hope that every path will one day lead home The lyrics sings in imaginary language that I wrote myself English translation : Verse : Upon my shoulders walks a boy Covered in scar, And a grey wolf Dune, mist, cliff, they move as one They're breathing my breath Run, run through the fen, under the old moon My roots remember, my winds carry Young wolf, the young blood Wild child, walk free above me Pre-Chorus : Listen, listen to your howling songs Softly gather, softly yield (Once wandered, Once strayed) Home, home, back to the warm soil Chorus : Hold me close, my children My wolf, my wolf Brave heart, free heart Run across the valley hills, my spine Your howling calls the way For your path leads home Your weary nights will rest in my arms Come back to me, to my bosom Narrative : "The boy bore no tongue for the speech of men, yet his heart remained untouched by all the lies" Verse 2 : He then met my wayward children Those who built their realm of men Hearts hardened by pride and greed The boy saw them tearing up my ground Tainting the rivers that flow from my heart Yet I cradle them all the same One day, they'll all come back to me Returning to my flesh Pre-Chorus : Listen, listen to your howling cries Softly gather, softly yield (Once wandered, Once strayed) Home, home, back to the warm soil Chorus : Hold them close, my children Blind wolves, blind wolves Bleeding heart, true heart Run through the burning hills, my own Long have I waited When every path leads home Your weary nights will rest in my arms Come back to me, to my bosom Bridge : He longed for deep roots, the quiet stone I am the morning sun, the patient night Come, my son who has walked far from me, Wild child, return to me... Narrative : "Away from iron and fire, he lay upon his mother's chest with his wolf, howling as he returned wild" Chorus : Hold me close, my children My wolf, my wolf Brave heart, free heart Run across the valley hills, my spine Your howling calls the way For your path leads home Your weary nights will rest in my arms... (Come back to me, to my bosom)
