[Verse 1] There is an old man who visits me A liar in disguise He's patient and he waits There is time for my demise [Pre chorus] He walks slowly A withered hand welcomes me... [Chorus] Push him away Today is not the day PUSH... Push him away Today is not the day Push him away Today is not the day [Verse 2] I met him as a young man, I saw him on a hill, He looked familiar Like someone I have known [Pre Chorus] Regardless of my cries The old man lives... He never dies... [Chorus] Push him away Today is not the day PUSH... Push him away Today is not the day Push him away Today is not the day [Bridge] Ohhhhhh, Where is your sting? Your victory is undone Deceit lies at the foot of the cross Death has been overcome [Guitar solo] [Final Chorus/ Outtro] Push him away Today is not the day PUSH... An old man came to visit me He climbed the hill alone He was a stranger Not someone I have known... I pushed him away Pushed him far.... away
