Then Pippa whispers, “Come with me, There’s something you cannot yet see. God sees the ending from the start, And while you wait, He shapes your heart.” So I’ll wait, wait, wait on God, Even when waiting feels so hard. I don’t have to understand To know my life is in His hands. I’ll wait, wait, wait and see, What God is growing patiently. Just because it’s not here yet Doesn’t mean that He forgets. Sometimes I ask my mom, “Why no?” Sometimes my dad says, “Not right now.” I see my friends with things I want, And I wonder why I can’t have some. But Pippa says, “Don’t look around, Your purpose isn’t what they found. God made your story just for you, And He knows what He’s leading you to.” A seed beneath the ground can’t see The flower it is going to be. It sits in darkness, small and still, While God is working out His will. The rain must fall, the roots must grow, There’s so much happening down below. And if we pulled it up too soon, We’d never see the flower bloom. So I’ll wait, wait, wait on God, Even when waiting feels so hard. I don’t have to understand To know my life is in His hands. I’ll wait, wait, wait and see, What God is growing patiently. Just because it’s not here yet Doesn’t mean that He forgets. Maybe not now. Maybe not yet. Maybe God is saying, “Trust Me with the rest.” Maybe that door Needs time before it opens. Maybe while I’m waiting, God is making something grow. I don’t need what everybody has. I don’t need to get there just as fast. Their story’s theirs, and mine is mine, God has a purpose and a perfect time. So when my little heart cries, “But God, I want it now!” Pippa helps me slow right down And remember what I know: God is good when I am waiting. God is near when I can’t see.
