Leave the past behind - 1

[Verse 1] Windows down Cold air on my teeth Empty road And a crumpled backseat You laugh low With your feet on the dash Coffee in a paper cup Heart beating fast [Chorus] We’re just enjoying the ride Chasing that thin pink line Mountains waking up slow While we leave the past behind Sunrise in the mirror Sky burning gold and red If this is what freedom is I don’t need what’s ahead [Verse 2] Mismatched socks And yesterday’s jeans Map folded Between you and me Phone off For the first time in years Silence turns to singing Till the road disappears [Chorus] We’re just enjoying the ride Chasing that thin pink line Mountains waking up slow While we leave the past behind Sunrise in the mirror Sky burning gold and red If this is what freedom is I don’t need what’s ahead
