Verse 1 We step outside with open eyes, To see the hearts, to hear the cries, A simple word, a gentle start, A loving deed, a willing heart. Chorus Rise up to serve, and do not fear, Walk with a friend, keep drawing near, Teach with love, and learn with love, Strength from below, light from above. Verse 2 We do not go with prideful claims, We go in mercy, not in names, We listen well, we speak with care, And leave a blessing everywhere. Chorus Rise up to serve, and do not fear, Walk with a friend, keep drawing near, Teach with love, and learn with love, Strength from below, light from above. Bridge Hand in hand, we find the way, One more soul, one more day, Step by step, we will become, Builders of a brighter home. Final Chorus Rise up to serve, and do not fear, Walk with a friend, keep drawing near, Teach with love, and learn with love, Strength from below, light from above. [Call and response, very easy] Leader: One friend All: One friend Leader: One heart All: One heart All sing: Say hello, be kind today, Help a friend along the way, Share good words, share a smile, Serve with love, every mile. [Short, steady, chantable, good for claps] Verse: Walk with me, we learn, we grow, Side by side, we let love show, Speak the Word, keep it real, Serve the neighbourhood, heal. Chorus: Book Two, book two, let us go, With a friend, with a glow, Courage up, pride goes down, Service turns the world around.
