Grandma in that rockin chair Calm and peaceful Just sitting there Like she hasn’t got a care Grandma in that rocking chair I’ll always remember Grandma’s porch Kind of old, with a floor that creaked We would meet out there at noon Say high to neighbors and share a bite to eat The most vivid memory of all Is the old rocker that she had In the corner of that porch We all rocked in those hands Grandma in that rockin chair Calm and peaceful Just sitting there Like she hasn’t got a care Grandma in that rocking chair Grandma’s hands were warm I remember sitting on her lap We would rock in the chair While we talked and laughed Grandma loved that rocking chair She would sit and crochet all day Waving to the passers by While she rocked her time away Grandma in that rockin chair Calm and peaceful Just sitting there Like she hasn’t got a care Grandma in that rocking chair The chair is old but it still rocks Grandma’s gone but not forgot Every time I look at the chair I can see her sitting there Grandma in that rockin chair Calm and peaceful Just sitting there Like she hasn’t got a care Grandma in that rocking chair Grandma in that rockin chair Calm and peaceful Just sitting there Like she hasn’t got a care I’ll always remember her sitting there
