Tea Instead of a Sword (ft.
© Алексей Яковенко & Svambahi, 2026 ♟️ ☕️ ♟️ ♟️ ☕️ ♟️ ♟️ ☕️ ♟️ ♟️ ☕️ ♟️ «Tea Instead of a Sword» The king on the chessboard won’t move a bit, Until all the pawns are wiped out — what a tricky fit! “Slacker!” they shout at him: “Get up, don’t sleep!” — They give him a verbal kick, oh so deep… He answers back: “Wait a moment, my friends, be patient, I plead!” He curled his hair in rollers, sat by the pane, Watches the battle unfold — life’s just a gain. The pawns run ahead, the queen wields her sword, While the king sips his tea with some milk, it’s adored. Imagine it were this way: the pawns just stand, And kings rush at each other, swords in their hand. Maybe everything ’round would turn out quite new — We’ll never know… We’ll just keep bashing through. But in this game, things are not like that, alas, The king just sits, waiting for someone’s last. Pawns fight and battle, knights leap into the fray, Our curly‑haired king? He’s lost in his own way. “Why would I need a sword?” — he says once again, — “I’d rather sip my tea, free from all pain. Let the queen decide which way we should go, I’ll just carry my rollers — nice and slow.” Thousands of years, from age to age, An ordinary man died for the king’s engage. What’s changed around? Nothing at all, you see, One power replaces another — that’s history. And still the king sits, still he stares out the glass, Adjusts his hair rollers, he doesn’t care, alas. “Let the pawns fight, let the queens burn and fall, I just need to finish my tea — that’s my call.” Only one who knows his own inner truth, Won’t be loyal to kings, no matter their youth. He’ll keep walking on through life, strong and free, Defying all bans and all chains, you can see! © Aleksey Yakovenko & Svambahi, 2026
