Keep the Lantern Bright

I can see what you mean When you talk about the sunshine Dancin' on a mountain stream And I know the time will come When the good Lord comes back To welcome us home Tonight I'll keep the lantern bright On the porch in case it’s Him I say a prayer I can remember An' sing a made-up hymn When He calls us one by one I'll be right here to find Standin' here with my hands raised To the Lord and heaven's light I can see what you mean When you talk about the sunshine Dancin' on a mountain stream And I know the time will come When the good Lord comes back To welcome us home
