It’s not a full-on "restart," but a recent experience got me thinking. Feel free to dive into the production notes for the backstory, or just vibe with the track. (「イカロスの如く光に惹かれるのか？」と) It’s their choice, let them scream (それは彼らの勝手だ、叫ばせておけ) Too close to touch, too far to fight (触れるには近すぎ、抗うには遠すぎる) Facing the new era, carrying the flame (新時代と向き合い、その火を掲げて) ================================= [[Production Note]] 最近は音楽関連媒体などにメールやプラットフォームなどを介してピッチもしようとしたり、わりと積極的にPRというものをやらせてもらっておりますが、わたしの曲が「AI音楽」ということを隠さずに行っております その中でよかったこともありましたが、やはり「AI」が入るだけで抵抗感を覚えてしまう方々も世の中には一定数おられるわけで、先日は「我々はAI音楽をサポートしない。今後我々にはコンタクトしないでほしい」と言われました。悔しかった。好みや曲の完成度で言われるのはしょうがないけど、「AI」とカテゴライズされて、俗にいうゴミ扱いされてしまうのは…わたしの曲がレベルが低いなどの理由でゴミって言われるのは特に傷つく理由もないけども、なんかAIで作られた音楽そのものが否定される気がしてとても悔しかったし、遣り切れなかった それから、先日Xにて見てしまいました。原曲の「Embedding Jam」をSUNOで作ったと報告する☆Taku Takahashiさんに噛みつくかのように「失望した」「SUNOを支持するのはやめろ」的な声。論争というほど長くもないし、そもそもコメント数も多くありませんでしたが、前述の個人的な出来事がまた思い浮かびました。そして心を決めたんです。「アンサーソング」ではないけど、「Tools themselves aren’t creative. Creativity comes from how humans use them」と仰った☆Taku Takahashiさんの思いに寄り添いたかった。恩返し、というのはおかしな言い方だけど、AIで音楽作る一人の人としてわたしの想いを、彼の原曲に乗せてリミックスしてみたくなりました（追記：後に☆Taku Takahashiさんさんのインスタも拝見したのですが、そこではわりと激しい論争が行われた印象でした） いろんな意味で個人ポリシー破りまくってます。SSC8参加で時間取れないから、と交流の深い方々に断りもしといたし、Triptych+1+1にコメントくださった方々の楽曲もまだ全部聴けていない。本来なら曲もパブリッシュするタイミングでもないので非常に心苦しいですが、それでも今じゃないといけないと思いました。どうかご理解の程よろしくお願いします 注：日本語パートの「高き橋から拓く音の奔流」には、☆Taku Takahashiさんへのリスペクトを込めております 注：こういうことへの想いを綴らせてもらうのが今回が初めてではありません。昨年10月には「One-Click Serenade」という曲で、今年1月1日には「Remixed you♬」という曲で、拙い芸ながらわたしなりの想いを発信しました。が、今回は文脈が異なるため、リミックスコンテストに参加させてもらいました ------------------------ Lately, I’ve been actively pitching my music to various media outlets and platforms. Throughout this process, I have never hidden the fact that my work is "AI-generated music." While there have been some positive experiences, there is still a segment of the world that harbors a deep-seated resistance to the very word "AI." Recently, I was told, "We do not support AI music. Please do not contact us again." It was incredibly frustrating. I wouldn't have been hurt if they had rejected my music based on personal taste or production quality—but to be categorized as "trash" simply because of the label "AI" felt like a rejection of the entire medium I pour my heart into. It left me feeling utterly helpless. Around the same time, I saw the reaction to ☆Taku Takahashi on X when he announced he used SUNO for his track "Embedding Jam." People were biting back, saying they were "disappointed" and telling him to "stop supporting SUNO." It wasn't a massive debate, but it hit home for me. It brought back all those feelings from my own recent experience. (Added: I later checked ☆Taku Takahashi's Instagram as well, and I got the impression that a fairly intense debate was taking place there.) That’s when I made up my mind. This isn't exactly an "answer song," but I wanted to stand in solidarity with ☆Taku Takahashi’s belief that "Tools themselves aren’t creative. Creativity comes from how humans use them." It might sound strange to call it a "repayment," but as someone who creates music with AI, I felt a burning need to weave my own emotions into a remix of his original track. In making this, I’m breaking almost all of my personal policies. I’ve already told my close colleagues that I wouldn't have time for other projects due to SSC8, and I haven't even finished listening to all the tracks from those who commented on "Triptych+1+1." This isn't the right timing for a release, and I feel heavy-hearted about that. But I knew it had to be now. I hope you can understand. Note: The Japanese phrase "高き橋から拓く音の奔流" (A torrent of sound opening from the high bridge) is a direct tribute to ☆Taku Takahashi. For those who may not know, his birth name is written with the characters 高 (Taka), 橋 (Hashi), and 拓 (Taku). I’ve woven these kanji into the lyrics—高き (High), 橋 (Bridge), and 拓く (Open)—as a hidden acrostic to express my deep respect for his influence and legacy. Note: This isn't the first time I’ve expressed these feelings. I’ve shared my perspective through "One-Click Serenade" in October 2025 and "Remixed you♬" on January 1st of this year.
