/* contest song fed into claude and told to change persepective to young lion going for a pride of his own */ "Roar Up" [Verse 1] Kicked out at two, mane just coming in Nomad blood, hunger under my skin Miles of dust and a dry-mouth night Hyenas circling, I don't back down from a fight I've studied the pride from the far tall grass Watched how the old king lets his best days pass Limping on the left, and he thinks we can't see Everybody in the brush knows who's ready to be The one they fear, the one they follow Not the one still living off yesterday's swallow [Chorus] R-O A-R Hear me now T-A-K-E Take the crown R-O A-R Hear me now P-R-I-D-E Mine somehow Roar up [Verse 2] Saw the whole savanna shake when I stepped out Coalition brother at my side, no doubt Two against the throne, we don't need a crowd Circling the territory, letting the thunder get loud Old king charges with a scar-worn glare I don't flinch, I don't blink, I don't care Every roar he throws, I send it right back Dust in the wind and the whole pride's watching the attack Lionesses on the ridge, quiet, sizing me up They don't follow noise, they follow blood and guts Prove it or lose it, the choice is bare Nobody hands you a kingdom, you claim it there [Chorus] R-O A-R Hear me now T-A-K-E Take the crown R-O A-R Hear me now P-R-I-D-E Mine somehow Roar up [Verse 3] Nomad, challenger, king, I've been all three Wandering hungry, fighting to be free Took the hits, took the scars, took the long way through Now the pride on the plain is looking up to you Ruling ain't just fangs, it's the hunt you lead Water to the cubs, meat for every need Keep the borders tight, keep the hyenas out Own the whole horizon, no shadow of a doubt Some day a young one's gonna come for this land Same hungry eyes, same scarred-up stand I'll meet him with respect, but I won't step down Earn it like I did, then wear the crown [Chorus] R-O A-R Hear me now T-A-K-E Take the crown R-O A-R Hear me now P-R-I-D-E Mine somehow Roar up
