[Verse] A galaxy between us, the vastness of outer space We wanted to be together, we knew it was our fate So we built the fastest spaceships, to fly amongst the stars We flew into the heavens in ships built from our hearts [Chorus] And nothing could stop me from gettin' closer, (from gettin' closer to you) From gettin' closer and closer and closer to you No nothing could stop me from gettin' closer, (from gettin' closer to you) From gettin' closer and closer and closer to you [Verse] Still large oceans lay between us, with waves as high as the sky The longing to be with each other, we had no choice but to try So we built the largest boats, to set sail through the storms We sailed across the world, in boats built from our love [Chorus] And nothing could stop me from gettin' closer, (from gettin' closer to you) From gettin' closer and closer and closer to you No nothing could stop me from gettin' closer, (from gettin' closer to you) From gettin' closer and closer and closer to you [Bridge] A small bridge left between us, not very far to go You'd finally got close to me, and I'd finally got close to you Just a few small steps are left, for us two to take We travelled so far, now we can embrace [Chorus] And nothing could stop me from gettin' closer, (from gettin' closer to you) From gettin' closer and closer and closer to you No nothing could stop me from gettin' closer, (from gettin' closer to you) From gettin' closer and closer and closer to you [Fade Out] Gettin' closer and closer and closer to you Gettin' closer and closer and closer to me Gettin' closer and closer and closer to you
