Read more about The Glitch after the lyrics below. ++++ ++++ ++++ ++++ ++++ [Intro] [Verse] Once so full of life Running wild and free White lines on asphalt Metal slammed into me Red lights, gray voices Couldn't catch my breath, The monitor flatlined Doctors called my death. Date and time logged My life gone fast But time stuttered, rewound And history lost my past [Pre-Chorus] The code of life squirms 'Neath the skin of things, I'm a broken puppet With godlike strings. [Chorus] I’m the Glitch~ Rewriting what's never been Spinning the wheel To try again I died once But I'm a kat in a box Still alive Hack all the clocks I’m The Glitch [Instrumental] [Verse] Forever I stand Where the wreck happened No scars, no pain for me No bloody mess, all clean Shattered bones, not mine Every part of me, gone Just memories stuck in my head Of history undone From beyond the grave I learned a trick Death won't touch me now My soul gives 'em the ick [Pre-Chorus] Don't call me a saint I’m not a god, I’m just a typo In a mod [Chorus] I’m the Glitch~ Rewriting what's never been Spinning the wheel To try again I died once But I'm a kat in a box Still alive Hack all the clocks I’m The Glitch [Bridge] Every tragedy’s a loaded die, I don’t save the world—I just retry. In back alleys and hospital halls, I listen for your dying calls. I’m restless, wired, never still, Good intention with deadly will. If I fix everything What breaks in me? Unraveling threads Of life's tapestry [Chorus] I’m the Glitch~ Rewriting what's never been Spinning the wheel To try again I died once But I'm a kat in a box Still alive Hack all the clocks I’m The Glitch [Outro] I'm the stutter In the night Restoring hope To your plight I don’t rest I don’t quit, I push, I pull Sometimes I kick You can't flee Death Draw your last breath I can give you one more chance At life's chaotic dance~ Reality can be a bitch "But I'M the Glitch" I'M the Glitch I'M the Glitch ++++ ++++ ++++ ++++ ++++ This song is the origin song for the heroine called The Glitch, whose civilian name is Mia Han. A Korean-American female college student, Mia was struck by a truck and died, but a glitch in the fabric of time and space restored her to life, as though she'd never been struck. Or maybe it shunted her consciousness to her body in an alternate universe. Who's to know, really? She believes her reality changed, and that's the story she's sticking with. After her restoration, Mia discovered that by being in the proximity of someone who has died recently, her presence can glitch them back to life. It doesn't always work, and the only control she has over the power is to try to be nearby when someone accidentally dies. Her power doesn't help anyone who dies from natural causes. She also can't help anyone whose soul has been "harvested". She sees herself in a superhero uniform... except when she looks in the mirror, in which case she sees herself as non-supers see her. Anyone with superpowers will see Mia as The Glitch in her sparkly uniform. Anyone without superpowers will see Mia as the college girl Mia. Mia's main rival is Soul Collector, the dark man with green hair in the cover video. Soul Collector uses the energy of the dying to charge up his superpowers, which include teleportation. Another origin song will go into Soul Collector's background, but it's pretty evident that he's none too happy about The Glitch restoring the dead to life, thus preventing Soul Collector from harvesting their energies. On the other hand, if he does manage to harvest all their energies once they die, then The Glitch can't restore them to life.
