(Power pop intro) (Verse 1) He was just a shy kid with glasses on his face, Taking notes in science class, never in the race. Then one bite from a creature in the night, Changed his blood, his body, gave him endless fight. (Pre-Chorus) Walls to climb, webs to spin, A brand-new world he was falling in. (Chorus) Spider in the spotlight, swinging through the sky, Power in his heartbeat, he can never hide. With great power comes the call, To rise above, to stand so tall— Spider in the spotlight, he’s gonna save us all. (Verse 2) Fame came quick, he thought he had it made, Television lights, money on parade. But one bad choice let a killer slip away, Uncle Ben was gone, and the guilt would stay. (Pre-Chorus) No more games, no disguise, He saw the truth burning in his eyes. (Chorus) Spider in the spotlight, swinging through the sky, Power in his heartbeat, he can never hide. With great power comes the call, To rise above, to stand so tall— Spider in the spotlight, he’s gonna save us all. (Bridge) City lights are crying, danger’s on the run, Green Goblin’s laughing, but he won’t be the one. Every punch, every fall, he remembers the cost, For the love that he lost, he’ll never be lost. (Chorus) (repeat, bigger) Spider in the spotlight, swinging through the sky, Power in his heartbeat, he can never hide. With great power comes the call, To rise above, to stand so tall— Spider in the spotlight, he’s gonna save us all! (Outro) Yeah, Spider in the spotlight, He’s gonna save us all… (Old man voice spoken) “with great power comes great responsibility”
