I see you carrying that load Uneven weight in an awkward shape This balancing act will make your spine corrode That boulder on your shoulders is stifling your soul You need to drop it on the dance floor Shake it out, shake it loose Let the rhythm lift your mood No matter the time, no matter the heat there's healing in the beat Go ahead and drop it on the dance floor If you're feeling all alone Outcast and out of place Don't let shadows cover where your light once shone The masks they ask you to wear suffocate your every pore You should drop it on the dance floor Shake it out, shake it loose Let the rhythm lift your mood No matter the time, no matter your doubts the beat is all we care about You'll find acceptance on the dance floor I don't know where we're going tomorrow Perhaps somewhere we've never been before Maybe we'll never go back to those tired, beat-down places It's time we found some brighter shores But before we set out for new horizons on feet that have long been sore Tonight, I'll be on the dance floor Lose yourself on the dance floor Dry your tears on the dance floor Spill your secrets on the dance floor Banish your fears on the dance floor Drop them on the dance floor End stagnation Find salvation Hide away Evaporate On the dance floor On the dance floor
