Ahéhee' Diyin God (Thank you Holy God)
I have been on a folk story and song reading binge (as seen by several folk song releases recently). The translation is poor at best, it is Navajo and based on a story I read about the early Catholic Christians converting the Native Americans to Christianity. In it, it talks about a Navajo tribe that wrote hymns and how they would sing them in the their traditional style. English translation at the end [Verse] Ahéhee' Diyin God Tó niłch’i silá Shíghaan nihił náháasdzaa [Chorus] Ahéhee' ahéhee' Diyin God bił ahéhee' T’áá íiyisíí’ bił ahéhee' [Verse 2] Dootł’izhí yáál Shí naagháahígíí Nihinaagóó nizhóní [Bridge] T’áá hó áníí K’é doo bikáá’ náhá Ahéhee' Diyin God [Chorus] Ahéhee' ahéhee' Diyin God bił ahéhee' T’áá íiyisíí’ bił ahéhee' [Outro] Shik’é dóó shidine’é Ahéhee' Diyin God Áłchíní dóó Nihimá ------------------ [Verse] Thank you, Holy God Water flows I am grateful for you [Chorus] Thank you, thank you Holy God, I thank you Everything is good, I thank you [Verse 2] The sun rises I am blessed We are beautiful [Bridge] Everything is good Family is important Thank you, Holy God [Chorus] Thank you, thank you Holy God, I thank you Everything is good, I thank you [Outro] My family and I Thank you, Holy God Children and all ----------------------------------- Lyrics by : Modern Bard Lyrics and Music: © 2025 Modern Bard All rights reserved. ----------------------------------- 😁If you enjoy this, check out my Christian playlist: 👉https://suno.com/playlist/c9cb48dc-39b3-4570-825c-10dcc9f34dd6
