[Spoken Word] [Style: Gospel Preacher for Teens] Today, we’re surrounded by all kinds of voices and opinions. But how often do we stop and think about the power of words? The Bible says, "Death and life are in the power of the tongue" (Proverbs 18:21). Words can bring us together, or they can tear us apart. Right now, more than ever, we need to be thoughtful with our words, building each other up, not tearing each other down. In this world of constant information, it’s easy to believe everything we see or hear. But 1 Thessalonians 5:21 says to “test all things; hold fast what is good.” That means not just accepting things at face value, but asking questions, looking for truth, and checking facts. We need to be steady, not shaken by every new thing that comes along. God calls us to seek wisdom, as it says in James 1:5. Wisdom helps us see through what’s real and what’s fake, guiding us to make decisions that are right, even when it’s hard. When we choose to look for what’s true, we’re stronger for it, and we help others find truth too. Like iron sharpening iron, we make each other better. As we face these big choices, let’s keep Scripture close to our hearts, striving for unity, truth, and wisdom in all we do.
